Hello! My name is KyNam Doan and I am trying to reach my philanthropic goals of volunteering 440 hours over the next two years and, at the same time, finding employment.
Campaign Overview:
- Volunteer 5 hour to a non-profit plus 1 hour to the SF Food Bank for each interview I get
- Volunteer 1 minute to non-profit for each unique visitor to the site.
- Maximum of 440 hours over two years.
- If I get a job through this campaign, I will automatically donate 440 hours.
- The companies who interview me may nominate a non-profit and then you will be able to vote for the top two from 1/1/09 to 1/4/09.
- I happily accept interview offers until January 16th unless of course I accept a job offer.
- KQED is my own personal nomination. I grew up on them and they have taught me so much.
Email me at kynamd@gmail.com, leave a comment and I will respond to you.

[...] KyNam Doan came up with a very original way of getting invited to interviews. Check his site, and learn how the professionals do it. Thanks for sharing this with us, Lindsay! [...]
[...] About [...]
Seems like you’ve found a way to do good and do well at the same time.
As far as job hunting goes, this is quite a novel way going about it. Dont know if anybody has done something like this. But if I were looking for a job, I’d definitely consider doing it this way.
Ah, volunteering!! – so many people surely would need a helping hand nowadays – with the holidays and recession and all…
Happy Holidays!
